Darling was a natural wine bar pop-up in Edmonton, AB that happened in the summer of 2021 to the following winter. The concept surrounding the pop-up was focused on a lively and exciting feeling, like stopping by at a friends wine party. The logo had to have that feeling within it, and keeping it more loose and human in tone. I hand rendered the type and built a fun and exciting colour palette to go with it. Bringing in punchy vibrant reds and pinks, while grounding them with more earth tones like a forest green and ochre. The logo was paired with some modern and poppy illustrations that have a festive and party like feeling. Making the guests of Darling feel like they are transported into an exciting new wine tasting experience. The brand expressed the liveliness of the environment of being at this wine bar pop-up as well as the experience of trying new kinds of wine and fun food pairings.
